Beta Expectations

General

  • Removed player-set region select (except for custom games). Ping and nearest server location are now considered by the match maker, along with MMR and level. Once a match is made, the server is assigned based on what will be the best overall ping for that group of players.
  • Addressed an issue where map names were not displaying the correct name

  • During the payload phase attackers respawn time is set to 8 seconds and the defenders is set to 14 seconds.
  • Fixed an issue where shooting a projectile at a wall could cause the projectile’s sound to increase in volume suddenly for the shooter
  • Fixed a case where laggy clients could shoot through shields, if they didn’t see the shield spawn yet on their client.
  • Fixed a case where spawning a shield to block a shot would cause that shot to do no damage to either its original target, or the shield.
  • Refactored the burn card system to have progression and renamed the system to “Items.”
  • Removed the Payload game mode

UI

  • In the Champion Skills screen (Outside of gameplay) each champion now has a button that will allow players to test their Ultimate Activation sound to help learn a Champion’s specific ultimate feedback sound.
  • Added persistent objective text on HUD

CHAMPIONS – BALANCE/UPDATES/FIXES

  • General
    • Reduced air control after knockbacks from 50% of normal to 10% of normal.
    • Champions no longer leave an HP Drop on the ground when they die.
    • Champion voice lines will now be cut short if that champion dies.
    • Champions now play a unique activation sound when their ultimate is triggered, followed by the voice line.
    • Fixed an issue where obstructions were reducing sounds from enemy players too much.
